Not all classical music needs to be serious! This is the story of a Purple Platypus named Plinky. You’ll hear Plinky plod up to the table for his championship ping-pong match with longtime rival, Eziekiel the Red Panda. The match begins slow and methodical and develops into a spirited showdown as Plinky and Ezikiel volley back and forth using their paws, tails, noses and beaks! It ends with Plinky’s triumphant last point! I composed this piece as a surprise for my wonderful husband, Jason Gunderson who wrote the Plinky story for me as a way to make me laugh. This is an arrangement for Oboe and Bassoon.
